What are the possible side effects of SOMAVERT?Some patients who have used SOMAVERT® (pegvisomant for injection) have developed liver problems. Stop the medicine right away and call your doctor if you get any of the following symptoms:
Your doctor may do blood tests before and during your treatment with SOMAVERT. These tests will check that your liver is working as it should and show how SOMAVERT is working for you. Your dose may be changed based on these test results. The most common side effects with SOMAVERT are pain, infection, reaction at the injection spot, flu-like symptoms, nausea, and diarrhea. Important Information for Patients:SOMAVERT is a medicine used to treat patients who have acromegaly. Do not use SOMAVERT if you are allergic to SOMAVERT or any of its ingredients.
